There is a new Kennedy assassination film, created by Max Good and entitled The Assassination and Mrs. Paine. Ruth Paine is certainly one of the most important figures in the Kennedy assassination, and arguably among the most sinister. Jim DiEugenio once said that the Paines were among the people he would most want to cross-examine, and I agree. Now I know how difficult it is to create a film like this, having worked very hard for years with Ryan Page on King Kill 63, which continues to sit in limbo unfortunately. I've also seen my friend Randy Benson struggle with his film The Searchers, in which I played only a consulting role, which is now going on an exciting tour of the United States (along with a visit to the UK). Speaking of which, you can find future screenings of The Searchers here. This young filmmaker somehow got her to agree to go on-camera, which automatically arouses my suspicion. Except that he also got Vincent Salandria to go on-camera. In addition to which, Vince has advised me as well as others that he backs Mr. Good and his film completely. In which case, I have to say, I am very interested to see this film. The film is currently on a Kickstarter campaign, and I encourage folks to help contribute if they can. It ends April 22, so time is short!
